Valerie Delgadillo is a graphic designer and digital media coordinator for the United Farm Workers Foundation, leading community advancement, health, and safety outreach services. In the last four years, Valerie has developed digital and print design solutions for nonprofit and governmental organizations including Latinos in Heritage Conservation, César E. Chávez National Monument, and the Museum of Social Justice. Her growing body of work as a visual storyteller explores themes related to social consciousness, Latinx representation, and environmental sustainability. Valerie believes the power of graphic design can encourage unity and well-being and aspires to apply her skills to elevate Latinx stories in a museum setting.
Valerie graduated from California State University, Northridge with a degree in Art. During her time at CSUN, she developed skills in design thinking, visual communication, and branding. She focused on developing design solutions for concepts based on environmental sustainability, cosmetics, Latinx representation, and exhibition design. Valerie has also worked alongside her community as an afterschool coach, day camp counselor, and special events operator. She finds fulfillment in aiding her community by providing resources and opportunities that promote unity and well-being.
Valerie finds inspiration in fine art, typography, and nature. During her free time, you will usually spot her at a local music show, bookstore, or museum. Her Spotify playlists are infinite variations of 90's music, rock en español, and Kendrick Lamar.
