24 days. 335 miles. A march for dignity and the right to vote.
Farm workers walked from Delano to Sacramento not for headlines, but for something bigger: the freedom to choose a union without fear. AB 2183 was their hope, a shield against intimidation, deportation, and silence.

Farm Workers Hit the Road Fighting for Their Right to Vote
AB 2183, the Agricultural Labor Relations Voting Choice Act, aimed to protect California farm workers’ right to vote in union elections without fear of intimidation or deportation.
On August 3, 2022, farm workers, families, and allies began a 24 day, 335 mile march from Delano to the California State Capitol to demand Governor Gavin Newsom sign the bill.
Digital Storytelling From the Frontlines
On the final day, I joined the United Farm Workers to document the march in real time, capturing videos, photos, testimonials, and raw moments from the road. I shared the story across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok in both English and Spanish, bringing audiences directly into the movement.
With more than 5,000 people marching for farm workers’ rights, the content amplified their stories of resilience and helped extend the movement beyond the march itself.
Following the march, 24 hour vigils continued the push for action. On September 28, 2022, Governor Gavin Newsom signed AB 2183 into law, marking a major victory for farm workers across California.
Event Coverage & Digital Amplification
Congress won’t step into the fields, and farm workers are paying the price.
“Take Our Jobs” calls on all 100 U.S. senators to step into the fields and see the truth for themselves. It’s a challenge to experience the labor that keeps this country fed, and a demand to act.
The ask is simple. Stand with farm workers. Pass immigration reform. Support the Farm Workforce Modernization Act and give undocumented workers a path to legal status.

SPOILER ALERT: Senator Cory Booker took the challenge, too!
Senator Alex Padilla Takes the Farm Worker Challenge
“Take Our Jobs” challenged lawmakers to step into the fields and experience farm work alongside the people who feed the nation. It was about more than a photo op. It was about listening, showing up, and understanding the realities farm workers face.
On June 3, 2022, Senator Alex Padilla became the first to take the challenge in Moorpark, California, spending the day harvesting parsley and radishes alongside farm workers.
Turning Candid Moments Into Advocacy
I documented the experience from the fields, capturing the work, conversations, and candid moments that brought the story to life. I turned these moments into bilingual content for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, giving English and Spanish audiences an unfiltered look at the day.
The campaign sparked engagement from farm workers, activists, and allies, and helped inspire Senator Cory Booker to take the challenge next, extending the conversation and bringing greater visibility to farm workers’ experiences.
Visual Identity & Marketing Collateral
Farm workers are ground zero for the climate crisis, and no one’s talking about it.
This docuseries drops the stats and shows you the real stories: scorching heat, wildfires, brutal conditions. But it’s also about grit, resilience, and the people holding up the system while everyone else looks away.

Using Design to Help People Take Action
Farm Worker Voices is a five-part video series calling on audiences to protect farm workers and the planet. I led the visual design for the campaign, creating artwork and promotional materials for each episode, while also designing assets that encouraged people to take action, starting with signing a petition for national protection.
Amplifying Farm Worker Voices Through Thoughtful Visual Execution
I developed a cohesive visual identity across posters, social media, digital ads, the campaign website, and merchandise. As the series rolled out, engagement grew across social platforms, while the microsite and merch store gave audiences additional ways to learn about the series and show their support. The design helped connect audiences to the stories of farm workers and the broader impacts of climate change.
My Role
I served as the Digital Media Coordinator for the UFW Foundation from January 2022–May 2026.
